The Roads Are Icy

The roads are icy.

•notes and human relationships and interactions.

There is a point of common meeting either physical or mental in which an agreement to talk is made. Sometimes you do not consent to this idea, which may be misinterpreted as you filling the role of a listener. Some people pull you to them and you will listen. Not because you want to but out of politeness.

Many one sided relationships are founded and continued based on the notion of being polite. It can be the glue that fills the void between two parties, who as in most cases differ from each other. Though if the gap is too large, politeness does not go far enough.

Carrying on relationships is difficult. Avoidance of relationships is perceived as egotistical or irresponsible.

Sometimes people manifest their own desires into other people. I am not sure if it is by accident or done purposefully. It is worrisome. Or is it? The people around you will change you. I believe that to be inherent of societal living.

I wish I could run from the whole thing but that would make me guilty too.

As things thaw

He is dead, and he didn't even see it coming.

I can imagine him sitting in a royal blue sedan. The seatbelt pulling against his left arm. His left leg on the tarmat dangling. He was wearing black rayban sunglasses, hiding eyes that had stopped.
He was halfway out of that car when his world stopped.
Readying to go back to work when his heartbeat stopped.

He was held like a flower under the snow, with a slow encumbering grip. There was no violence and no resistance. The wave of white held him still.

There was no time for remembrance. The winter had come.
